Its often considered to be the end result, when instead, I have found it to be a continual process of allowing the Universe to lead you to your greatest joy. The Universe has faced me with this truth many times, and recently it arose again in relation to my work here at Spiritual Awakening Signs…
The Spirit Guides Call To A New Adventure
For almost two years now, I have been tuning in to my spirit guides, and channeling the enlightened messages and healing energy that they provide. They are a collective of high level spirit guides, dedicated to assisting those of us of the ascension pathway to fully awaken & fulfill our life missions. This has been done through recorded energy healing meditations from my home environment until more recently, when I began to intuit that it was time to take the next step. I new the guides were urging me to connect to an even higher vibration and to share something more powerful and profound, but in classic mentor-ship fashion, they didn’t tell me exactly what that was, and instead lead me to discover it for myself.
When these moments of searching for the next step on my life purpose journey arise, I know I need to quiet my mind. I knew that it was vital for me to go within and connect with my Guides’ divine providence, but in order to do that, I had to go somewhere still where I could tune into these energies uncluttered by modern lifes obligations and demands, and so my partner and I retreated to the beauty and tranquility of the Scottish highlands for a relaxing rural break among the grounding elements of nature, which are so pure and undisturbed there.
Quietening The Mind To Hear The Inner Guidance
I’ve got a place that I like to go that is peaceful and still enough to connect to my guides and their positive energy uninterrupted by normal life. I urge you to find that sacred place for yourself too – a quiet spot where you wont be interrupted and can commune with your higher self – it might be a park, a library or down by a river, but wherever it is, you should feel a sense of calm and relaxation there, where you can really fully let go.
I often find that it takes a few days to disengage from the usual business of everyday life, which it did, but as the heaviness began to dissipate, a pull to a particular place kept coming into my awareness, urging to be acknowledged. It was a sacred site – the cave of St Columba, an Irish monk who lived there for a time on his mission to bring Christianity to the very dark energy of pagan Scotland back in the 6th Century.
The Next Step Of My Life Purpose Journey: A Powerful Energetic Pull To St Columba’s Cave
It was clear that I was being called to this spiritual place despite the fact that I didn’t know much about St Columba at all. Regardless of my lack of knowledge, my guides impressed upon me the importance of visiting this site, and that we would be intensifying and accelerating the level of healing provided to all on the awakening pathway by now travelling to sacred sites and drawing on the potent energy of the space by connecting to the associated ascended spiritual master who blazed the trail before us.
I Knew I Had To Go…
I decided I had to go. I knew I had to travel to this sacred space and connect to St Columba in the very place that he lived, prayed and meditated, and I also felt certain that my guides had already arranged this energetic transaction. I know when my Guides are pushing me to the next step on my life purpose because the guidance has a sense of urgency to it and I sensed that St Columba may already be waiting for us. My partner and I packed up our car and set off to St Columba’s cave, uncertain, but trusting, of what the guides were leading us to.
The weather was grey and the rain poured down over the water of Loch Coalisport beside us, so it took some effort to make our way through the lush green overgrowth that covered the winding path to the cave. We ducked under branches and stepped over rocks, passing a ruined stone chapel to get the the entrance of the cave, and once inside we were met with a stone alter, complete with offerings of coins, candles and pebbles from the beach. I decided to light some candles on the alter to connect with St Columba, and when I did, I saw an orb- shaped spark of energy right in front of me. I knew he was with us, and I knew what I had to do.
I had to channel the energy he wanted to grant us on his behalf into a meditation so that he could share with us his strength and determination in following his spiritual life purpose to bring love and light no matter what, and to assist us in aligning with our life purpose, clearing any blocks and obstacles in the way. The energy inside the cave was so peaceful and still, yet the effervescent frequency of the energy awaiting us was palpable!
Visiting the cave was so mystical and will always be a special spiritual memory for me.

Within mere moments, I could sense St Columba’s presence and his potent healing energy, guidance and information began to pour through which I channeled and captured on the video. I could feel the support that is there for all of us on the awakening pathway, and especially those of us looking to discover, align with or fulfill our life purpose. Who Is St Columba?
St Columba was an Irish Christian Missionary of Druidic Scotland who founded many monasteries and fulfilled a very important spiritual mission to spread love and light across 6th Century Britain. Columba guided the only centre of literacy in the region, which later became a major European centre of pilgrimage and learning. As a result, he can assist you in accessing your creative talents and abilities when you invoke him.
While recording ‘The Life Purpose Meditation‘ (details of this at the end) I saw images of doves and white birds – this was interesting because the name Columba (Scots: Columbkille, Irish: Colm Cille) means ‘church dove’.
Legend tells of him performing the miracle of repelling a ferocious ‘water beast’ to the depths of the River Ness. This was reportedly in response to the attack of a local and his own disciple. By sign of the cross, he declared – “Go no further. Do not touch the man. Go back at once” – to which the creature stopped as if “pulled back with ropes” and fled.
Retroactively attributed to the infamous mythic monster ‘Nessie’ of nearby Loch Ness. This dramatic interaction is a culturally significant early recorded encounter with the shapeshifting Celtic aquatic dwelling spirits of arcane folklore known in antiquity as the ‘Water Horse’, or as eluded to by classic ‘Rob Roy’ author Sir Walter Scott, and immortalised by Scottish Bard Robert Burns, the ‘Kelpie’.
